Luxury suites have become a huge revenue stream across the NFL as they have provided an array of options for the ultimate game day experience. When The Arizona Cardinals envisioned a more sophisticated and entertainment charged Club Level at the University of Phoenix Stadium, they called upon Bar Napkin Productions!
Bar Napkin Productions collaborated alongside Michael Bidwill and the Arizona Cardinals organization to create an upscale interactive game day concept that features a mixture of luxury and state of the art technology in a design that celebrates the Cardinal’s passionate “Bird Gang” culture and community.
The first phase of improvements, which began in March and is open for the 2017 season, includes extensive upgrades to the club concourse’s 50-yard line lounges, 2 new 50-Yard line all-inclusive VIP Suites, and the addition of two new premium hospitality spaces - the Flight Lounge and the Bubble Lounge.
The completely remodeled 50-yard line lounges were designed as the ultimate viewing experience. The focal point of each lounge space includes a dramatic high definition LED video wall, spanning 49’ feet long and more than 11’ high. The video walls have split screen capabilities to show multiple games from around the league during pregame, and are dedicated solely to the Arizona Cardinals action once kickoff starts. For fans wishing to keep up with the out of town games, there are plenty of screens located throughout featuring action from around the league. Each lounge features one of two of “Arizona’s longest bars” - each of these stunning illuminated bars spans 65 feet in length and looks like a bird taking flight. Upgraded flooring, finishes and furniture create a variety of seating options befitting a premium experience.
The Flight Lounge, on the east Club concourse, is a full-service premium wine bar with over 100 wines to choose from. Warm woods, textured walls and signature wine displays create an inviting experience with views of the field.
The Bubble Lounge is a brand new 3,300 square foot space overlooking the West 50-yard line lounge. This champagne bar feels like a Las Vegas club with high end architectural finishes such as marble, stone, and wood. Plush red velvet sofas are beautifully placed under a custom “bubble” chandelier centerpiece. This exclusive, reservation only area will be a hot ticket on game days featuring champagne brunch, live music, and on-going food and drink offerings throughout the game.
Bar Napkin Productions is currently hard at work on the second phase of improvements, which will target the remainder of the Club concourse and lounge spaces. Construction scheduled to begin at the completion of the 2017 NFL season and will be completed in time for the 2018 NFL season.

The Royal Palms Resort and Spa will be the latest resort to give its grounds a make-over as the Phoenix resort embarks on a multimillion-dollar renovation of its 119 rooms and presidential suite.
The renovations will also upgrade select meeting and event spaces at the resort, and will begin in June 2017. Just in time for summer, Royal Palms finished renovations on its pool and lounge area along with event lawns and landscaping. The next step of renovations will match with the resort’s most recent changes.
Guest-room and event space upgrades will be done in phases in order to have no impact on the guest experience. Many guest rooms are expected to be complete by July, with total completion expected to be finished in Fall 2017.
“Royal Palms is one of the most celebrated and cherished resorts in the country, and we intend to keep the resort’s distinct character intact, while curating an elevated guest experience,” said Geoff Gray, general manager, Royal Palms Resort and Spa.
Rooms will be lightened and brightened using the natural backdrop of desert Earth tones and framed by rich wood architectural elements. Eclectic furnishings will blend thoughtful functionality with the character of a majestic estate, such as refined bedside lamps, additional electrical outlets, and artistically etched lighted mirrors featured in bathrooms of suites and casitas. New artwork and linens will reflect the hues and lavish textures of the Mediterranean, the design influence of the original mansion. The 1,700 square-foot Presidential Suite will see improvements throughout, including upgrades to the kitchen area and additional enhancements on the private patio that showcases breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain.
Additional upgrades, naturally blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor, will be made to all event lawns and include the addition of lush landscaping throughout the grounds and select design touches in the Estrella Salon and various meeting spaces.
As part of ongoing enhancements to the resort’s recreation areas, the pool deck now features new lounge chairs inspired by old Hollywood glamour, making for a share-worthy setting.
Poolside cabanas with orbit beds continue the resort’s romantic tradition, and a new seasonal culinary and cocktails menu, designed by Executive Chef Todd Allison, invokes a sense of intrigue. Guests are invited to take a dip in the glamorous Mother-of-Pearl-tiled pool or whirlpool spa, cozy up in a cabana or private hanging hammock, or even take in a yard game on the lawn – all among the poolside’s charming and chic ambiance and lush outdoor location.
“Our team at Bar Napkin Productions has a long commitment to this magical and iconic property. We are thrilled to partner with Hyatt in creating a vision that further enhances the original Mediterranean design and sophistication of the Royal Palms Resort and Spa,” said Haley Balzano, principal of Bar Napkin Productions, the design firm leading the refresh.
The resort is one of the latest additions to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
We would like to send our gratitude to the Phoenix Business Journal for the kind recognition and ranking us as one of the top interior design firms in Arizona. We are incredibly thankful that they featured one of our favorite images from the interior work we did at Phoenix's most legendary boutique hot spot, The Royal Palms Resort & Spa
Our Workuity project continues to be the talk of the town around the Phoenix Biltmore as it is considered to be Arizona's largest co-working facility.
Workuity, is a 18,500-square-foot Class A office space, that recently opened in March at 24th Street and Camelback Road. It will be able to hold nearly 250 people.
The goal and concept behind Workuity was built on the premise that professionals, entrepreneurs, start-ups and other individuals should have access to the same creative work environments that companies like Google provide to its workers.
The direction for creating such a space was focused on designing with a hospitality flair, that highlights the floor plan and the secure private work areas that is geared to promote networking and collaboration.

One of Bar Napkin Production’s most recently completed projects and Peoria’s newest hot-spot, Modern Round, has been featured in the February issue of Phoenix Magazine. Known as the gun-lover’s answer to TopGolf, Modern Round’s vibrant atmosphere is also home to fully loaded fried pickles, herb-laden wild mushroom flatbread and an array of speciality cocktails and martinis. No wonder why Phoenix Magazine included this uniquely entertaining lounge as a happy hour must!
WISHING YOU A SEASON OF MAGIC & JOY

"Fashion" lyrics by David Bowie
Bar Napkin Productions participated once again in this year's IIDA Couture Fashion Show at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Our team partnered with Mannington Commercial and Neutral Posture to create a one-of-a-kind ensemble inspired by the talented "Ziggy Stardust" era of David Bowie. A hand-knitted sweater made of raw carpet yarn layered over an intricate bustier made of workstation and chair parts was complemented by a geometric pleated skirt from carpet backing. Jewelry and accents from Lombar Chair Supports and Air Pumps completed the look. Congratulations to our wonderful team for walking away with the 2016 People's Choice award! Oooh, fashion!
