Paris Design Week is full of beautiful innovative work from designers for designers. Below are just a few that I find exceptional in their field.
RUE MONSIEUR PARIS
Rue Monsieur Paris, a French high-end furniture company, focuses on producing pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing yet functional in design.
Created and developed by Jules Levasseur in collaboration with Petrus this table and bench are created out of corrugated iron. By curving the metal, an elegance and lightness is added to a material that is traditionally seen as heavy.
MIS EN DEMEURE
Launched in 1993 by Philippe Daraux, Mis en Demeure offers high-end furniture and decoration based on a rich heritage of craftsmanship and adapted into a contemporary environment. Many pieces among the collection are inspired by French Decorative Artists.
For the past 20 years, L'École Bleue (The Blue School) has been a collaboration of interior designers, product designers and graphic designers. During Paris Design Week, the prototypes are shown to reach a larger audience.
MAISON DE VACANCES
Produced in an exclusive limited edition by Maison de Vacances in collaboration with Le Deun Luminaires, lamp x is truly innovative.
Tom Dixon displays an exceptional selection of objects with his new Brew Collection.
