Hosting Thanksgiving dinner is no small undertaking – it takes a lot of thought and preparation. I think it's nice to bring a small gift that either helps the host with the dinner or is something special for just them. Below are just a few ideas that I found unique and thoughtful.
Something I thought was truly thoughtful is a thank you note. Writing a little something to leave with your host thanking them for the dinner and why you are grateful that they are in your life.
Whether it is something that will pair well with the meal or something that would be great the next day, you can never go wrong bringing a bottle of wine or a homemade fall sangria.
A fun idea is to bring a Thanksgiving themed shirt or item that can then become a tradition to wear every year. This was inspired by my grandmother who would always wear a "gobble, gobble, I'm no turkey" shirt every year.
After preparing such a large meal, the last think you want to do the next day is make or even think about breakfast. Help your host by bringing homemade fresh unbaked cinnamon rolls so they can just throw them in the oven in the morning.
Another idea would be to bring a basket full of everything you would need to make leftovers the next day. From tupperware containers to bread and condiments for sandwiches.
